When you look at photos of people in costume, many of them look silly. Few people know what to do with their hands or feet. Take a minute to research your character. Watch how they move, gesture, stand and carry themselves. Boba Fett, for instance, walks slowly and surely. When he stands still, he knows EXACTLY where his hands and feet should be. Here are a couple of stances I use when I wear my Boba Fett costume. Note that Boba Fett frequently keeps his head at a slight downward angle.

Darth Vader is another character to watch. It is very important you convey his power and darkness when you are in the suit. When he stands still, his hands are normally resting on his belt. A great pose for Vader if you're going to be in a picture, is to reach out like he did to Luke in the Cloud City reactor.
